User Contributions and Volunteer Submissions
AIHealthcareCompliance.com may allow users to contribute information, such as by submitting suggestions, providing details for case studies or regulatory updates, volunteering articles or research, or asking questions for a Q&A section. All such user contributions are subject to the following terms:
-
Voluntary and Non-Confidential: By submitting any content or suggestion to us (via contact form, email, or other means), you acknowledge that your submission is voluntary, non-confidential, and given without any expectation of compensation or reward. You agree that we are under no obligation to use, publish, or respond to your submission.
-
License Grant: You retain any copyright or ownership of content you submit; however, by submitting content, you grant AI Healthcare Compliance a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, edit, reproduce, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and distribute your contribution (in whole or in part) in any manner or media. This license allows us to share your contributions as part of our educational content.
-
Originality and Rights: You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit, and that your submission does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy right, or other rights of any other person or entity. You also warrant that your submission contains no confidential information of third parties and no content that is unlawful, libelous, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
-
Editorial Control: All contributions will be reviewed by us. We reserve the right to accept, reject, edit, or remove any user-submitted content at our sole discretion. Contributors may be asked for clarification or sources to verify information. We may also format or edit submissions for clarity, style, and length.
-
Attribution: If we publish content that you submit as a volunteer contributor (for example, an article or case study), we will typically credit you by name as the author or contributor, unless you request anonymity or we agree to different attribution. However, by submitting, you consent that we may decide whether and how to provide credit.
-
No Employment Relationship: Your voluntary contribution of content does not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship with us. As a volunteer, you are not an employee or contractor of AI Healthcare Compliance, and you understand you will not be paid or compensated for your contributions.
By submitting any contribution, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any liability arising from your submission (see “Indemnification” below for more detail).
Q&A and Contact Interactions
The Site may feature a Q&A section or respond to questions received from users. If you submit a question to us (through a contact form, email, or other communication):
-
You agree that we may use the content of your question to answer it and that we may publish the question and our answer on the Site to help educate others, unless you specifically request confidentiality. We will not publish your name or personal details without your permission; if we do post a question, we will anonymize it (e.g. using a first name only or general description) to protect your privacy.
-
Submitting a question or contacting us does not create any professional-client relationship. For example, sending us a question about legal compliance does not make us your lawyers or consultants. We provide responses for general informational benefit to our audience, not personalized professional advice.
Disclaimer of Informational Accuracy
AI Healthcare Compliance is an educational platform. All content on the Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis for general information purposes only. While we strive to research and present accurate, up-to-date information on AI-related healthcare compliance and privacy standards, we do not guarantee the correctness, completeness, or currentness of any content. Laws, regulations, and best practices in healthcare and AI are continually evolving, and information may become outdated or may not apply to your specific circumstances.
No Professional Advice: Nothing on this Site constitutes legal, medical, or other professional advice. The content is not a substitute for professional consultation with qualified experts. If you need guidance on compliance or any other professional matter, you should seek advice from a licensed professional familiar with your situation. Your use of any information on the Site is at your own risk. AI Healthcare Compliance and its contributors assume no responsibility for how you use the information provided.
No Warranty: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and conditions of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
By using this Site, you agree that AI Healthcare Compliance, its owner(s), contributors, volunteers, and affiliates will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Site or reliance on any content. This includes without limitation:
-
Direct, indirect, or consequential damages (such as loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, personal injury, or loss of privacy).
-
Special or punitive damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount (if any) that you have paid us for use of the Site, or CAD $0 if you have paid nothing (as the Site currently offers content free of charge).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AI Healthcare Compliance and its owner(s), administrators, contributors, volunteers, and affiliates from and against any and all complaints, claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
-
Your use of the Site or any content you obtain from the Site.
-
Any content you submit or contribute to the Site (e.g. volunteer submissions, suggestions, questions), including any allegations that such content infringes the rights of a third party or violates any law.
-
Your breach of these Terms or any violation of any law or regulation in connection with your use of the Site.
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with us in defending such matter. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of your use of the Site or these Terms.
Third-Party Links and References
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources, or reference third-party materials (for example, links to official regulations, news articles, or external resources for further reading). These links and references are provided for your convenience and information only. AI Healthcare Compliance does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, products, services, or practices of any third-party websites.
When you follow a link to an external site, you do so at your own risk. Third-party sites are governed by their own terms and policies, not ours. We recommend you review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party websites that you visit. AI Healthcare Compliance shall not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of third-party sites or resources.
Changes to These Terms
We may update or revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other legal or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the Terms page (or herein). It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any updates.
Your continued use of the Site after any changes to the Terms will constitute your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with a modification, you must stop using the Site. For significant changes, we may also provide an informational notice on the Site’s homepage or via other communication channels, but this is not guaranteed.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any disputes arising out of your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. By using the Site, you agree that any disputes or legal actions will be brought exclusively in the courts of Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you access the Site from outside Canada, you are responsible for compliance with any local laws applicable to your use. Nothing in these Terms will affect your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. The remaining Terms will remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms (along with the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and AI Healthcare Compliance regarding your use of the Site, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings and agreements between us relating thereto. No waiver of any provision of these Terms will be valid or binding unless in writing and signed by us. Failure by us to enforce any right or provision in these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
